County Clare will soon be receiving an influx of Parisians following the announcement by Cityjet of an additional daily flight service between Shannon and Paris.
 
The volume of people flying between the cities is set to double with the introduction of a new aircraft catering for an additional 95 passengers per day.  
 
Cityjet has also announced plans to move their early morning departure time form 9am to 6.30am, thus increasing business connectivity between Shannon Airport and Charles de Gaulle airport.
 
This latest move by Cityjet is good news for the Irish car rentals industry, which is set to receive an influx of clients due to the inclusion of an extra flight.
 
Martin Moroney, Director of Shannon Airport has welcomed the announcement, saying that by doubling the volume of early morning flights the entire west of Ireland could benefit from the additional work being introduced to the business market.
