Running from the 21st to the 25th of October 2009, this year will play host to the fourth annual Galway Comedy Festival. There will be something in this festival to suit even the dourest of comedic tastes, from irony to slapstick, everyone’s entertainment needs will be catered for.

It’s only by turning up that you will know exactly what the festival has to offer, as this year’s event has a number of surprise gigs which aren’t listed in any programmes. The various comedy shows will be hosted across Galway and the best means to travel is by a hired car. Highlights of the event include a guest appearance by ‘Who’s Line Is It Anyway?’ host, Greg Proops and poet laureate John Cooper Clarke.
