Increase In Visitors to Ireland's Most Famous Attractions

A sign that the Irish tourism industry is finally picking up after figures reveal a dramatic increase in visitors to one of Ireland’s most famous attractions.

After losing its title in recent years, Ireland’s most long standing popular attraction looks set to regain its place as the number one visitor attraction of 2010 after it was revealed that over 1 million tourists visited the Guinness Storehouse in 2009.

The Guinness Storehouse’s managing director, Paul Carty, has said that the attraction continues to draw in huge numbers of visitors, despite the general drop in tourist numbers...let’s hope the trend long continues, so we see an improvement in the tourist industry in general; more visitors to the Guinness Storehouse means more hotel rooms occupied, more Irish hire cars rented, and a general boost to the economy.
