Tourism Ireland is planning to invest over €10 million in marketing the country in the US this summer.

Because market price and value are currently the number one consideration for the American consumer, during the economic crisis, Tourism Ireland will be advertising discounts on all major destinations and tourist requirements, such as Irish car rental, hotels, restaurants…
 
Joe Byrne, Tourism Irelands executive vice president for the US, has said “We have an extensive promotional programme in place, highlighting incredible value-for-money offers on travel, news, lifestyle and golf websites using the tagline ‘Ireland. More for Less’”.

It is hoped that this latest marketing campaign will improve the recent slump in Ireland’s tourism industry.
