Believe it or not, but Government officials have been drafted in over a dispute at Killarney National Park about the use of nappies for Jaunting horses!
The tourist hotspot has come into the focus of the flailing tourism industry after the coachmen of the famous Jaunty cars threatened to strike over the issue of nappies for horses. The rule came in during the summer, but many of the Jaunty car coachmen have refused to attach them, claiming that they distress the horses. Tourist chiefs have argued that the sight of jaunty drivers striking over the issue of horse-nappies is likely to damage the industry further and have now asked for government intervention. Avoid the pitfalls of the jaunty-men, hire an Irish rental car to get around the beautiful countryside of Killarney, no need for nappies!
