Love walking? Planning a trip to Ireland? Then this year’s Laois Walks Festival is just the ticket.

The 8th Annual Laois Walks Festival takes place between the 21st June- 18th July 2009, there will be 18 separate guided walks this year, catering for all; from a one hour family-friendly walk, to the more gruelling, half-day hikes in the Slieve Blooms.

There will be 12 different locations with organised walks throughout Co. Laois; Cullahill, Durrow, Timahoe, Vicarstown, Wolfhill, Durrow, Ballyroan, Clonaslee, Emo, Fishertown, Portarlington, Mountrath, Spink and Stradbally.

You might be visiting for a walking holiday, but getting to the destination by foot from one of Ireland’s key airports won’t be a walk in the park, why not hire a car to arrive there in style, and save your feet for the beautiful walks you’ll take at this year’s festival.
