New Flights Announced In A Bid To Boost The Ailing Tourism Industry In Ireland

New flights announced as two Irish airlines come together in a bid to boost the ailing tourism industry in Ireland.

From late March people will be able to take advantage of two new routes opening up from Glasgow Airport to Dublin and Cork.

A franchise agreement has been reached between two Irish airlines; Aer Arann and Aer Lingus will offer new services increasing flights between Scotland and Ireland.

The Glasgow Airport managing director, Amanda McMillan said: "The Aer Arann/Aer Lingus partnership will allow even greater opportunity for business and leisure travel between Scotland and Ireland, with increased frequency on the important Glasgow to Dublin route particularly good news."

This is great news for the Irish economy; more visitors to the country will bring in more revenue, boosting the Irish rental car industry and the hospitality industry in general.
