Consulting group Mercer has recently published a report based on ‘quality of life’ which places Dublin City in 25th position out of 215 cities.
 
The researched conducted for the 2009 Quality of Living report is an industry standard for companies who are wishing to re-locate staff to other cites, and also for tourists planning their holidays. Among the leaders of the pole were Vienna , Zurich , Geneva , Vancouver and Auckland .
 
Mercer researches, among other things, electricity and transport, including bus services, taxis and car hire in Dublin city.
 
Dublin city currently ranks higher than Paris (33rd), London (38th) and Barcelona (42nd)!
 
Mercer collects data annually, during the months of September and October, although the report is regularly updated to take into consideration new developments throughout the cities researched.
