Brace yourself for the chilling cold of the mid-September North Atlantic Ocean and take part in the annual Sandycove Island Challenge. The Sandycove Island Challenge is an open water swimming event where participants race a distance of approximately 1,800.
The Sandycove Island Challenge is a charity event and has been running (or swimming if you prefer) since 1994, all swimmers receive commemorative swim hats and lapel pins, with the swimmers finishing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, for their age group, each receiving a top prize.
