Tourism Ireland has hired the travel, leisure and business tourism relations agency, Davies Tanner, to help manage various publicity campaigns whose aim will be to attract business travellers from Europe to the Republic of Ireland in a boost to ease the economic slump in Ireland’s tourism industry.

Of course, the Irish car hire industry will benefit most from the influx of business travellers as many rarely travel to the Republic using their own transport. David Boyce, the Deputy Director for Great Britain at Tourism Ireland  has said “With over 1,000 scheduled flights each week, a wide range of world-class facilities in place and two major venues about to open, now is the time to tell everyone that Ireland means business,”.
