Tourism Ireland have already recruited John and Edward Grimes- two of 2009’s X-Factor contestants - to attract more tourists to Ireland from Great Britain. And following the success of the ‘Jedward’ campaign, Tourism Ireland is hoping to recruit even more stars to the cause of the flailing tourism industry.

Tourism Ireland are hoping to recruit such sporting legends as golfer Padrraig Harrington, and rugby star Brian O’Driscoll in their bid to increase tourist numbers. The latest promotion will highlight the best Ireland has to offer by way of film, music and festival, as well as other tourist facilities, such as Irish hire cars, hotels, restaurants and attractions.
