When it comes to Irish food, Irish hotels and now Irish flights, all seem extortionate when considered against the equivalent services in France, Italy and Spain. It comes as no surprise that our tourist industry is suffering.
As industries hike up prices to cope with the lack of tourists, even our potential tourists are beginning to opt for cheaper places. Ireland needs to re-consider its appeal to overseas market if it hopes to regain lost ground, and this means lowering prices.
