Driving Licence Policy
We require that you hold a full, valid (in date), unendorsed driving licence for a minimum or 2 years. Licences must be produced in person during the collection process.
Forms of Payment
We require that the main driver of the vehicle is the holder of a major credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners Club are accepted) which must be used to pay the online deposit and also be produced on arrival.
Documents Required & Payment
When collecting the car, we require that you bring your valid driving licence, a credit card in your own name and 2 forms of proof of address that match the address on your credit card. One must be a bank or credit card statement for the credit card provided on collection of the vehicle. The second must be a utility bill dated within 8 weeks of pickup date.
What is Vehicle Excess?
This vehicle has an excess of € which is held in the form of a security deposit on your credit card for the duration of the rental, and is then released if the vehicle is returned without damage. Alternatively, at the time of collecting the car, you can reduce your excess to zero purchasing our Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) cover.
When renting a car with CARHIRE.ie, we offer two fuel options. One is a prepaid fuel option at discounted rates where we ask that you bring the car back empty. The second option is to bring the car back full or a local refuelling fee will apply.
