CARHIRE.ie rental charges

We want to make sure you know exactly what you are getting when you book on CARHIRE.ie.

CARHIRE.ie rates include:

  • Your rental vehicle
  • Collision Damage Waiver cover (subject to an excess)
  • All administration fees

CARHIRE.ie offers an all-inclusive price so the price you see is the price you pay.

Any additional fees are optional e.g. Super Collision Damage cover, GPS unit, baby seat and child safety seats are at your discretion. The Super Collision Damage cover (SDW) is the most popular extra as it reduces the driver’s excess in case of damage to zero (except luxury groups where it is reduced to a minimum 200Euro).

Fuel Policies

Some companies insist on all car rentals over a three day duration prepaying for a full tank and not refunding for any unused fuel. However, CARHIRE.ie allows customers to decide what option they would like. There are two main options:

Buy a full tank of fuel at the start of the rental at fuel prices that are lower than market rate, and the customer then doesn’t need to fill the car on return. This saves the customer having to find the expensive garage close to the airport. All new cars have a gauge on the dashboard that details the kilometres left in the fuel tank so the fuel can be easily managed. If you are going to do a lot of driving then this may work out best for you.

Leave a deposit, at market rates, for the full tank of fuel and must return it full. The deposit will be refunded when the car is returned full. If the car is not returned full, the missing fuel is charged at above the market rate along with a refuelling charge.
